Rudolph Christmas '12

Christmas this year was just Nate, Liam and I. But I kind of like it that way. We can stay in jammies all day, we slept in this morning, and got to do stuff we normally don't get around to.
We ended up opening presents yesterday, which was fine by both of us, and Liam has no say yet, lol.
So, with out further ado, pictures <3

Instgram Friday

I didn't post last Friday because I was sick. Liam started throwing up Saturday night, and has been puking randomly since. Which is always fun, since he can't puke into a bowl, or give me warning. I have done three loads of laundry this week, as opposed to my normal 1 load a week.
Anyways, enough about being sick, time for some pictures of the cutie!
Despite being  sick, Liam has gotten incredibly mobile in the last week. Nothing in our house is safe anymore, just kidding.

6 months old

Dear Liam,
You turned 6 months old yesterday. It's crazy to think that 6 months ago you were a little (haha) baby in my arms.
On Tuesday you had your 6month check-up. You aced the evaluation, which means developmentally you are right on track. The only question I couldn't answer is how you pick up cheerios and other small things, but you've never had anything that small so I don't know. You had to get booster shots, but daddy came with so I let him hold you.
You weighed 18lbs1.5oz landing you in the 62% and you are 28.5" tall keeping you in the 99% (not that we were surprised). You have grown over 10" and gained almost 10lbs since you were born.
You aren't crawling yet, but you wiggle and roll all over the place. You've gotten a lot better at sitting up, your daddy and I are so proud of you!
You enjoy playing on the floor so you can "roam" about the room. The more independant you become, the more you clingy you become. I don't usually mind, although sometimes it would be nice to do house work without having you strapped to my back, or crying. Or both.
You tried carrots for the first time this week. You mostly just smashed them around, but I think you ate some. No teeth yet, so I'm really not pushing solids yet.
Liam, your daddy and I love you so much and we're so blessed to have you in our life.

5 months old

Dear Liam,
You're 5 months old today.
I just switched out your 3-6 month size clothes for 6-9month clothes. The onsies are still okay, but pants and sleepers were too small//short. Your weight seems to be keeping up with your height, not in a fat way, just in healthy//proportionate way. ^_^
You've definitely started teething. I bought you an amber necklace that has really helped with the pain. You haven't started eating food yet, but I've given you bites of smoothie and apple sauce. The other day I even let you lick a lime. Oh man, I wish I had a picture of the face you made.
You started rolling over, back-to-belly, about a week ago and just yesterday was the first time I know you rolled belly-to-back. Now you are a rolling as soon as I lay you down you start squirming. I've started changing your diaper on the floor fot safety's sake.
You talk a lot. Usually in a very deep tone, with a serious look on your face, and a a string of drool on your chin. You also have many conversations that consist of nothing but you blowing zerberts.
You give kisses now to your daddy and I. I don't mind all the spit that gets on my cheeks because your kisses melt my heart.
You like to watch Rolie Polie Olie and Praise Babies, read books, and play on the floor. I think you are going through a growth spurt too, because your naps have doubled and your feeding times are longer. Baths are still a favourite, although I don't get you in the tub as often as I'd like.
Liam, I am loving watching your personality develop, and seeing you reach the milestones.

4 month check up

It's been a week since Liam had his 4 month check up with Dr. H. I figure it's time to post his stats. Lol
He weighs 16lbs 6.5oz and is 27" long. His head is 17.25" round, which puts him in or above the 95% for everything in his age group. I have one giant baby!
He's still fitting into 3-6mos clothes, but not for much longer. At least not the sleepers.
Oh well, I love my lil teething man.

Liam got a pumpkin for his pictures. We didn't get any smiling ones before the camera batteries died, but he's still adorable.

4 months

Dear Liam,
You turned four months old yesterday. You keep growing bigger every day. People say you're big for your age, but I think you're just the right size.
You haven't figured out how to roll over yet, but you have become a pro at tummy time. You now hold toys in your hands and play with // suck on them. And you enjoy playing in your exersaucer, your bouncy seat, and having me sing songs to you.
Your favourite way to fall asleep is to be cuddled in your blanket with your pacifier, and have mama rock you.
You wake up around 6:30 or 7 every morning and are ready to play. You sleep fairly well, and only wake up two or three times a night.
You are still the cutest, sweetest, baby around.

Randoms

Sometimes I feel bad for pretty much jus updating this once a month, but then I think 'this is my blog, I'll update it when I want to.'
Anyways, Liam turns 4months old on Saturday, so I'll be writing my typical update then. I just got an idea for some totally adorable photos of Liam for this month. Thankfully Nate has Saturday off, so he can help me acheive my goal. If it works, it'll be wayyy cute. If not, he'll just have his typical pictures in the glider.
His dr's appt is on the 22nd. I'm excited to see how much he's grown.

3 months old

Dear Liam,
I know this post is about a week late, but our neighbors put a password on the wireless we were using, and I was kind of hoping to not have to type this on my phone, but alas, here I am, writing this up on my phone.

You have grown at least a little bit this month, as I just swiched your 0-3month clothes for 3-6months clothes. I left the pants, cause you still fit those fine but all your sleepers and onsies were getting to snug. I also just started putting your diapers on the second snap, because if I don't they unsnap themselves.

You enjoy playing in your exersaucer, because it holds you upright, and can play you music. You also like to have books read to you, and bounce on our knees while we sing 'pony boy' or 'trot trot to boston'.

Your babbling has taken on another decible, and sometimes I have to look at you to tell whether you're upset, or just telling your story. Sometimes when you're real upset it sounds like you're crying "mama". You just started giggling and squealing recently, and your daddy and I agree it's the cutest thing ever!!

You haven't rolled over yet, but you do scooch yourself forward with your toes, usually in a curve. 

I cannot wait to see what you learn next.
